Alex Pardee at Andenken Gallery, Denver Colorado

Andenken Gallery played host to “Frolicking Nightmares” by San Francisco artist Alex Pardee. I’ve liked Alex’s artwork for years but this is the first time that I’ve been able to see a bunch of it in one place along talk to him in person.

Needless to say, I was VERY impressed. Between the colors, the ultra sharp detail in his work and his overall humbleness… It made for a really great show!

American Artifact Screening

American Artifact http://www.AmericanArtifactMovie.com/ is a new film that focuses on the rock poster movement and the importance it played on art in America. The Denver screening at the Oriental Theatre had live printing by Swamp www.swampco.com. Lindsey Kuhn has lots of posters and other great things for sale before and after the movie.

SDCC 09… Oh My!!

San Diego Comic Con was a GREAT time for me. Not only did I get to meet a ton of great folks that I’ve worked with but I was able to meet my cousins that live in Holland for the first time.

If you’re not familiar with SDCC, it is somewhat hard to explain… There is an electricity in the air and a sense of wonder and a TON of sweaty nerds looking to cut loose!

Even though there is pretty much SOMETHING for everyone at SDCC, I was more interested in the vinyl toy/art side that I’ve always been drawn to.

Frank Kozik was a busy boy the entire time over at the Kidrobot booth

It was pretty cool to see a little mold that Lasertag Cartel made for Pretty in Plastic brought to life in Luke Chueh’s toy on exchange at the Munky King Booth.

Got a chance to talk with Kano several times during SDCC and was really impressed with him.
